BRRRRR! Cougars stay warm this weekend!
What a fun week in classrooms. We started a new science unit called “What’s the matter in your motion?” Students will be learning about forces of motion and states of matter. What you see in classrooms is so much fun. I’ve seen a wind tunnel, bowling, car/ramp painting, marble run wall, motion museum, snow boarding ramps in the sensory tables, making popsicles, melting snow, creating different colored water, etc.
PTA:
-We have a Qdoba Fundraiser on 1/17 from 4pm to 8pm. Order at the 64th Ave Location or order online with the code QDOBAGIVES.
-January PTA Meeting on 1/29 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm
-Swap Meet 2/2 from 2:30pm to 5pm - We will be hosting a Swap Meet at Campbell on 2/2 at 2:30pm. Everyone is welcome to participate! If you'd like to drop off items for the Swap Meet you can do so in the Family Center starting Monday, January 29th. We will be accepting gently used clothing and home goods. This is the perfect opportunity to get rid of some kids clothes that you've been holding on to! Any leftover clothing or items will be donated to the Orphan Grain Train. We will also have a craft for kids to participate in while parents shop. Please email Ally at [email protected] if you'd like to volunteer!
-Kidspace night 2/23 from 4pm to 7pm - We are hosting a Campbell Fundraiser at Kidspace. The Campbell PTA will receive 20% of profits that night. Pizza, snacks and drinks will be provided.
Tardies: Please be on time for school. We have had many families arriving up to 45 minutes late and that can be disruptive to class that has already started. We also have multiple students that receive special education services and they are missing out on their services when they arrive late. Our providers have a very tight schedule. I appreciate you helping with this. Many teachers have also asked that when you are late, please sign them in and let the student enter the classroom on their own. They know the routine now and can be independent. Thank you all so much.
Registration Round 2: The second round of enrollment begins on January 18th.
Field Trip: We will be taking our all school field trip on February 2nd. Permission slips are coming home today. Please read through it and return it to school as soon as possible. They are due back by Friday, Jan. 19th. Thank you!
We do not have school on Monday as it is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Enjoy the day and bundle up! It will be a cold one!
