What a beautiful week! Our students planted vegetables and herbs in our garden this week. We also have the watering system hooked up and ready to start watering today.
We will need your help keeping it weeded and harvested over the summer. Please sign up HERE to help out. We really only need someone to check on it maybe 2 times a week.
PTA: Our last meeting of this year will be on Monday in the Family Center at either 8:15 am or at 5:30 pm. We will be talking about our year, a few events we already have planned for next year, sharing some self-regulation tips for preschoolers, and Holly will share the ‘State of the State at Campbell” with you. Please join us!
Field Day:
We are excited for our first ever Cougar Cub Field Day on Friday, May 24th. We would love to have you stay for the morning and join your child. We understand that sometimes it isn’t possible and if that is the case, please sign them in like always and pick them up at their field day dismissal time.
Full day students will have school from 8-12.
8-8:30 You can enjoy a complimentary breakfast in the cafe or in the Family Center.
8:30 sign your child into the class and enjoy field day from about 8:45-10:00. We have 6 events and popsicles to enjoy.
Then around 10:30, feel free to bring a picnic lunch and share a picnic with your class. School lunch will not be served on this day so if you would like to picnic, please bring your own food to eat. Then children can play in the classroom until noon when they will be dismissed for the summer.
Half day students will arrive at 10:15 to enjoy breakfast in the Family Center.
Then at 10:45 you can sign your child into their class and enjoy field day.
Field Day will be about an hour, including 6 events and popsicles.
Once field day is over students will head back into the classroom to get their things and be dismissed for the summer.
We have a few things for each child to take home and those will be in the classrooms with their teachers. Thanks and we hope you all enjoy the day!

Old crayons: If you have any old crayons at home, please don’t throw them away. Ms. Carrie Rush is collecting them to recycle them for children at Children’s Hospital. She has a tub outside her classroom (111).
Garden Capstones: If you purchased a garden capstone at the silent auction or you want to donate to Campbell for one, please stop by the office or email Holly.
The capstones are ready to be painted and then we will place and cement them in. Classrooms are painting theirs next week. Your family can paint one or more to help beautify our garden.
It is hard to believe that next week is our last week together. I have loved every minute of our year together. I look forward to connecting with all of you next week throughout the week and at Field Day.
